What is Sublative Radiofrequency?

Sublative radiofrequency. For many this will sound like jargon, but in this blog we will uncover what this great treatment does.  It’s an effective solution for ageing, loose, sagging, scarred and/or uneven skin.

Results without Damage

Sometimes, procedures intended to treat the skin cause damage that can exacerbate the issues you originally wanted to address. Fraxel and Titan, for example, are laser treatments that work by overheating the top layer of skin, causing unnecessary trauma. These aggressive techniques can leave you dissatisfied with results and the experience as a whole.

Sublative radiofrequency is different. Instead of lasers, it utilises advanced radiofrequency technology. This targets the layers below the surface to stimulate cell regrowth. Essentially, it works from the inside out.

Inside Out

So, what goes on underneath the surface that makes sublative radiofrequency so effective? Fractionated bipolar radiofrequency energy is applied via a handheld device to the skin in a series of grid-like patterns. This triggers an accelerated healing process in the targeted skin, and your body naturally begins to produce collagen. New, healthy, skin cells start to generate.

One of the first questions people have is, is it painful? No. Sublative rejuvenation is a comfortable procedure, and you will be done within about 30 minutes. Within just days, you will see visible results.

Can Sublative Radiofrequency Help Me?

This technology is safe and effective for all skin types. It addresses the following issues:

  • Brown spots.
  • Age-related textural irregularities.
  • Acne scarring.
  • Skin laxity and sagging.

The result is smooth, firm skin that looks and feels its best.

Previously, people could only expect these type of results with surgery. No more. You do not have to go under the knife to look and feel your best. Schedule your consultation with our expert team today.

What is collagen and why do we need it?

The word collagen comes from two Greek words. The first κόλλα (kólla), meaning “glue”, and γέν, -gen meaning “producing”. So glue producing!.

Collagen is a major structural protein in the bodies extracellular matrix. It can be found as the main part of connective tissue. In mammals it makes up to 35% of the whole bodies protein content and is our most common protein.

what is it made up of?

Collagen is made up of amino acids joined together making a triple helix of elongated fibril. These are known as a collagen helix and can be found in fibrous tissues in the body like tendons, ligaments, and skin.

what forms does it take?

Collagen tissues may can take many forms. Hard in bone,  compliant in tendons or in-between with cartilage. It is also widespread and found in other parts of the body the the eyes in corneas, blood vessels, gut, discs between the vertebrate in the spine and also in your mouth in the form of  dentin in teeth.

The fibroblast cell is the most common cell creating collagen. Collagen is a very important component in your body.  It is a protein and works as an adhesive, holding skin, ligaments, tendons, bones, and muscles together as it cushions them.

It is central to how the body is shaped and how parts of the body work together for the common good.

Elasticity & firmness

Collagen helps every part of your body stay strong and supple, including your skin. Collagen gives skin it’s elasticity as it provides firmness and smoothness to your skin.  Making the most of your collagen resources can keep away fine lines and wrinkles, allowing skin to remain supple, providing a youthful appearance.

Ageing and Collagen

However, as your body ages, less collagen is produced and, often, it can be of lower quality than during younger years.  When you can increase the amount of collagen your body produces, it helps to enhance the texture, quality, look, and appearance of your skin.

Collagen induction therapies

Many beauty treatments work on stimulating and generating collagen and elastin. They are known are collagen induction therapies.

  • INFINI 3D SKIN TIGHTENING

The INFINI™ 3D Skin Tightening combines the power of microneedling with radiofrequency to stimulate collagen and elastin production. This in turn results in a tightening and smoothing effect in the skin. The INFINI 3D helps to lift and firm the skin from the dermis layer, without causing any damage to your epidermis.

  • DERMAPEN MICRO SKIN NEEDLING

Dermapen uses a handheld device to deliver thousands of minute, micro punctures to the skin at a vertical angle.  These tiny punctures stimulate the skin to grow more collagen and send it to heal the micro areas.

It is a methodology to “trick” your body into making more of the substance than it normally makes.  The end result is fresh and rejuvenated skin.

  • RADIO FREQUENCY SKIN TIGHTENING

The Sublime™ Radio Frequency Skin Tightening boasts positive results and is a very effective non-invasive therapy.  It can visibly firm and tone your skin, allowing for a smoother and more youthful appearance.  Everyone’s skin loses elasticity during the ageing process and the production of collagen slows down as well.

The energy driven by the radio frequency process helps stimulate the production of new collagen, which, in turn, will provide more lift and a smoother, even tone to your skin.

Collagen nourishes your skin and can help it stay looking younger longer.  As you age, often your body can use a little help re-establishing collagen levels to a arrive at a more youthful level.

Is The Face Slimmer Exercise Mouthpiece The Answer To Your Wrinkles?

When it comes to inventing unconventional solutions to everyday problems the Japanese are world champions. You have to hand it to them for their creative genius, I mean seriously who would have thought of sticking cleaning pads to the front of a babies outfit so that when it crawls across the floor doing its thing it also doubles up as a mop…you can’t make this stuff up!!! Or are you someone who is constantly falling asleep on the train journey back from work and are using the strangers shoulder next to you as a pillow? Well guess what, the Japanese also have an answer for that too…the Train Nap Cap. Whoever’s brain child this was needs a gold star as this is really up there with the best of them. Basically this clever contraception is made up of a helmet and a sucker pad – the user sticks the pad to a nearby window or wall and then places their head in the helmet keeping their head in place, now where is the alarm to wake me up at my desired stop?

One of the latest inventions to make it to the market which is creating quite a buzz is the ‘Face Slimmer Exercise Mouthpiece’. Yeah it seems not as much thought and effort went into naming the product as went into the actual idea itself. So can a pair of plastic lips really help to remove your wrinkles?

Let’s take a look…

Well upon first inspection these lips do look a bit on the silly side, although in the quest for beauty I am sure many of us will be willing to look past the appearance in order to achieve skin perfection.

How Does The Device Work?

Well the idea is that you place the mouthpiece into your mouth and then continue to pull a series of facial expressions (mouthing the vowels) which will apparently tone your face and firm sagging skin. The movements are given extra load by the mould forcing your muscles in the facial region to work that bit harder. The manufactures claim it is perfect to use anywhere at any time. Although this mouthpiece looks very portable I somehow cant imagine many people popping these in as they are walking down the street or sitting at their desk at work.

How Often Do I need to Use it?

For just 3 mere minutes of your time every day, really that’s it!!! Whether you use this in addition to your everyday morning routine or later on at night when the kids have been put to bed the Face Slimmer Exercise Mouthpiece can be easily fit round your daily life.

Conclusion

Whether the device works or not is anyone’s guess. Personally I don’t really hold out much hope nor have much faith in such a product, but who knows maybe in its simplicity lies the answer to a lot of women’s prayers to turn back the clock and reduce the lines and wrinkles that time has left on their aging appearance.

If you are someone who is concerned about your lines and winkles and you haven’t got much faith in the Face Slimmer Exercise Mouthpiece, why not take a look at Sublative Rejuvenation. This new skin treatment uses fractionated bi-polar radiofrequency to penetrate below the skin which stimulates collagen and cell re-growth. Unlike other treatments that give the same results Sublative is none invasive and has a very minimal downtime meaning you can have the treatment and continue with regular activities almost straight away.

Treat Acne Scars and Stretch Marks With Sublative Rejuvenation

Acne Scarring

You take a look in the mirror. Yes you think, that spot that has been taking up residency on the left side of your face for the last week or so has finally packed its bags and left. Your delightment is soon cut short however when you realise that even though the spot has gone it has left behind a mark in the form of a scar.

The thing is even without picking and squeezing, acne lesions can leave behind scars due to the intense collagen damaging skin inflammation with which they are associated.

There are 2 main types of acne scars:

1. Raised Acne Scars: These types of scars are raised out of the skin.

2. Depressed Acne Scars: The most common type these types of acne scars indent into the skin

Raised acne scars consist of :

Hypertrophic Scars:

Confined to the original outbreak area. These scars can be very itchy and cause discomfort and pain.

Keloid Scars:

These are larger and are not confined to the outbreak. Keloid scars can be itchy and uncomfortable. You will most likely find these types of acne scars on darker skinned individuals.

Depressed acne scars consist of:

Ice Pick Scars:

These form deep pits into the skin – the appearance of these scars look like they have been caused by a ice pick or another narrow similar sharp object hence the name.

Boxcar Scars:

Boxcar scars are very similar in appearance to chickenpox. These will be most likely be on your cheeks or temples and are oval in shape. Depending on the severity these can be fairly shallow to quite deep in depth.

Rolling Scars:

Shallow scars are wide and shallow that create a sort of wave like appearance on the surface of the skin.

You may feel all alone but did you know that 2 in every 10 people in the UK suffer from acne scarring that is socially noticeable. Most of these people use creams to try and treat the scars but the truth is these only treat from the outside.

Stretch Marks

Stretch marks are narrow streaks or lines that develop on the surface of the skin. They are caused when the skin is suddenly stretched and the dermis layer of the skin breaks allowing the deeper layers to show through.

Reasons for stretching can involve:

• Weight Gain

• Pregnancy

• Growth Spurts (As can be seen during puberty).

The areas that are usually most affected by stretch marks include the abdomen, thighs and buttocks.

Many people who currently have stretch marks believe that its something that they are unable to treat or manage. This is not the case.

Sublative Rejuvenation

If you suffer from acne scars or stretch marks Sublative Rejuvenation is for you. But what makes this treatment so special? Well first of all it’s the world’s very first Radiofrequency applicator and is a non-laser and non-light based aesthetic device. If that doesn’t impress you I don’t know what will…

What can it do for me?

To cut a long story short you can think of this as your laser free resurfacing saviour. It stimulates new collagen growth in the deep dermis and is used to treat textural irregularities, wrinkles, acne scarring and sun spots. Here’s the cool part, any skin type can be treated – from dry to sensitive to oily and everything in-between. Now take into consideration that this treatment only takes around 20 minutes and you can start to see why this is something special.

Does It hurt?

Ok I am going to be honest with you, this is a fair question and in truth Sublative Rejuvenation isn’t entirely painless. However this isn’t to say it’s painful either. Many people say the feeling is of a slight discomfort and the irritation experienced during the procedure feels similar to a dull tingly feeling.

How does it work?

Sublative Rejuvenation works its magic by stimulating the collagen in the dermis. This treatment uses fractional b-polar radio frequency to break through the skin all without damaging the top layer. This allows for more energy to get underneath the skin and make the most of collagen production.

During this treatment wrinkles, textural abnormalities, sun spots and acne scars are attacked from the inside out. Even after your very first treatment you will notice a considerable difference, even with the deepest of scars.
