Women Acne: How To Remove That Back Acne

Backless Dresses, Swimsuits & Bikinis

If you have ever known the misery of back acne then you will also know the horror which many women feel at the impending summer months! Summer is the time for backless dresses, swimsuits and bikinis…it’s a time when more flesh is on show than ordinarily and if that flesh isn’t in prime condition then it can be both uncomfortable and embarrassing.

Backs are one of the most neglected areas on most women’s bodies…not only because we don’t see them daily but also because they’re awkward to reach! Begin your battle against back acne by standing in front of a full length mirror and having a good inspection of the skin. If you can’t make it out then use another mirror to reflect your back more clearly.

Sun Cream That You Drink!

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Mmm…glass of sun cream anyone? This offer isn’t as odd as it may seem since an American company claim to have created drinkable sun protection!  Osmosis Skincare claim that this is a holistic breakthrough and that drinking your sun protection is the way forward. The product is called Harmonised H20 UV Protection is supposed to provide protection up to factor 30 and the makers say that once the product has been ingested, molecules “vibrate” on the surface of the skin to cancel out the harmful aspects of the sun.

Product Lacks Scientific Backing

The product is not endorsed by any skincare experts and so apparently has no scientific proof backing these claims up…but the instructions are to drink 4ml of the liquid every three to four hours whilst exposed to the sun. The product is available in two forms, “tanning” and “non tanning” which is supposed to enable consumers to control their suntans.

Advice regarding this product is to be cautious as it is doubtful that it really will provided the protection it claims it will. Professor Antony Young of the St. John’s Institute of Dermatology at King’s College said it is unlikely that a drink could offer the protection it claims too and Dr. Rang Singh said; “We know that ingestible sun products aren’t that good. To say they have changed the frequency of water molecules…well I just don’t know how they could have done that.” He went even further and added, “I wouldn’t just take these claims with a pinch of salt, I would take them with a fistful!”

Stick To The Traditional Methods…Or At least For Now.

So if the experts are this doubtful what are consumers supposed to think? The drinkable “sun protection” is coming at a time when topical sun creams are already in the spotlight for having failed rigorous tests which have highlighted the fact that many off the shelf are not offering the amount of protection which they claim to.

The advice remains clear; to wear a good quality topical sun cream and to wear a hat; don’t expose yourself to strong sun for long periods of time when unprotected and drink plenty of water…not sun cream!

This company are not the first offering drinkable beauty treatments…in recent years there have been a surge of elixirs which claim to improve skin health and hair condition in addition to gummy bears with beauty properties; although some of these undoubtedly contain some good vitamins and minerals it’s questionable how successful they really are. The best advice is to listen to the experts who have studied the effects of the sun and advised that consumers stick with the traditional methods of protection.

Although some sun cream can be a little uncomfortable on the skin, there are plenty of finer, sprays on creams on the market which feel lighter and less sticky. If you really don’t enjoy applying cream then look out for the spray on type and wear clothing with sleeves! It’s going to be quite some time before we can drink a glass of sun protection that actually works![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

Trying to Lose Weight? Cut Out The White Bread!

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

As many people say, there’s nothing quite like toast made with white bread and then slathered with butter…except perhaps more white bread, slathered with jam. If you’re one of those people…and you’re also trying to lose weight then it might be time for a change because the simple fact is that although white bread is tasty, it’s just not good for you!

Increases Chances Of Obesity By 40%

Research is showing that just two slices or more can increase your chances of obesity…and since the nation’s favourite bread is still the humble white loaf, then its high time we re-educated ourselves!

Yes, it’s tasty, yes it’s soft…but there are many equally delicious forms of bread which aren’t such a bad choice in terms of health. White bread was at the centre of a recent study where it was shown that students who ate only white bread were at an increased risk of weight gain…in fact a whole 40% more at risk!

White Bread Is White For A Reason…And Not A Good One!!

That’s a significant amount of risk so you have to ask yourself, is that morning toast really worth it? What about your lunchtime sandwich? Couldn’t it be just as tasty on a wholegrain roll? What about a multigrain wrap? Don’t forget that the reason your white load is white, is that it’s ingredients have been heavily processed; the bread’s contents are also bleached in order to ensure that uniform whiteness…is it really worth it?

Many people get stuck in habits as far as mealtimes go and many people are fiercely loyal to their white bread sarnie…but with a few changes you could be dramatically cutting down your weight as well as improving your health. You don’t have to gnaw away at unpalatable and chewy loaves to be a little healthier…many wholegrain breads are designed to be just as soft and tasty as white loaves are.

Switch For A Healthier Alternative Or Bake Your Own

Although wholegrain bread is nuttier in flavour it’s not all tough and chewy…there are plenty of breads out there with a variety of textures and flavours to entice even the staunchest white bread fan. You could even consider baking your own loaves! You don’t need a fancy bread maker to get creative with flour and yeast…all you need is a pair of strong hands and the right ingredients.

The best thing about making your own bread is that not only is it tasty and divine to smell as it bakes but it’s also much cheaper than buying it in the shops or the bakery. Look about for some simple recipes and the satisfaction which you will gain from watching your loaf rise in the oven is almost as fantastic as the smell which your kitchen will be infused with…with your bread making skills honed, you need never go sandwich-less to work again!

You can experiment by adding nuts, grains and even cheese for a treat. Just stay away from that white loaf and you will notice the difference in a few weeks and once you are used to your new bread, you probably won’t fancy that unhealthy white stuff again…in fact you will wonder what you ever saw in it at all!

Restore Your Skin’s Natural Glow – Dermal Roller Treatment

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]What Causes Us To Age With Time?

Collagen is the skin’s natural connective tissue…it’s the stuff that holds it all together basically and as we age, our collagen production slows down. This is a natural process and after the age of around 50 we’ve lost about half of our natural ability to make collagen and this of course has a knock-on effect in terms of the way our skin looks.

Older skin lacks the natural “bounce” which younger skin has…it can also appear greyish and lacking in colour…not to mention those wrinkles of course! The skin industry is a huge one with hundreds of treatments and ointments out there which are designed to improve the texture and appearance of our skin but not all of them have much effect!

Dermal Roller Treatment

Dermal rollers or Dermapen are however one treatment which has received positive reports from the many people who have given it a go. Otherwise known as microneedling, it’s a very simple treatment and while it can be a little uncomfortable it is also very effective in brightening the skin considerably and this is in part down to the role which they play in encouraging the production of collagen in the skin.

If you’re not sure what dermal roller treatment is, it’s basically the practice of using a small spiked roller to “prick” the skin of the face all over. The practitioner prepares the face with a special anaesthetic cream and this ensures that some of the sting is taken out of the treatment. Then the roller is gently applied all over the face.

Does It Hurt?

Although the treatment isn’t painful, it can cause a little discomfort; after a treatment your skin may look rather red and a little sore but this is only temporary and soon fades. Because of this side effect make sure that you leave a day or even better, two days to recover before going on any special outing!

The dermal roller is a simple but highly effective treatment in the fight against ageing and after a treatment people report a more youthful glow to their skin and an improvement in texture.

Give Your Skin A Boost!

If your skin is looking a little lacklustre, dermal roller treatment could be just the thing to give you a fresher appearance! Dermal rollers can be used to treat a myriad of skin problems including acne scarring, uneven pigmentation, fine lines and minor scars. By stimulating the collagen in your skin it helps to fight these signs of ageing or problem skin and most sessions don’t take more than ten minutes. Soon after your treatment the tiny “holes” made by the roller will close up and the improvement process begins!

Many people report seeing an improvement in their skin after only 24 hours…why not give dermal rollers a try and see the change in your skin? Speak to your nearest clinic about making an appointment for a consultation as this is the first step in booking a session of dermal roller skin treatment and you should always see a professional regarding any invasive treatments before considering giving them a try![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

Laser Hair Removal For Transgenders

We’ve come a long way as a society in accepting the differences between people and the acceptance of transgenders has been an enormous battle for those men who like to cross dress as part of their lifestyle. No longer seen as a dodgy or unpalatable practice, transvestism is now an almost “normal” thing and rather than staring open-mouthed at open transgenders, society in general understands where it has its beginning and that it’s not a perversion or an oddity…just a difference.

Kim and Khloe Kardashian and laser hair removal

Whilst many celebrities are more than a little tight lipped about their beauty treatments and interventions, some are very open about them. The Kardashian sisters have all been very vocal about their love of laser hair removal.

In particular Kim and Khloe; Khloe actually had the procedure done for the first time on the girl’s reality show Keeping up with the Kardashians. (They are also big fans of Coolsculpting along with other celebrities)

With their Armenian heritage and their thick, dark hair the Kardashians had long been disillusioned with less long lasting hair removal techniques such as waxing and shaving and had wanted to try something which would offer a more long term solution to the problem of unwanted hair.

Celebrity facial hair treatment – ready for that close-up

Kim was the first of the sisters to come out as a fan and has reportedly had the procedure done on her hair line to eradicate the fine “baby hair” which was a few years ago very apparent on her forehead.

It is understandable with cameras following them 24-7 and with millions of followers on Instagram you would want to look your best.

She was so happy with her laser results encouraged the rest of her family to give laser hair removal a try and Khloe shared her experience with the world by allowing the cameras to film whilst she had laser on her body…including her toes!

Other Celebs Reported To Have Gone Under The Laser too!!

Kris Jenner, the girl’s Mother, has also been under the laser and the entire family regularly promote laser hair removal. They’re not the only ones either!

Other celebs, listed above have reportedly had laser treatment include Victoria Beckham on the advice of her friend Eva Longoria and Beyonce…both dark haired it’s not hard to see why these glamorous women would choose to opt for a permanent solution to their hair issues.

Bollywood stars and laser hair removal

It’s not only Hollywood celebrities that have undergone laser hair removal. Bollywood stars have been rumoured to have undergone laser hair removal. They include Deepika Padukone who had full body the laser hair removal and Shraddha Kapoor who as an actress would need to feel comfortable in a range of costumes and clothing.

Ingrown Hairs Can Be A Thing Of The Past

Women and especially women in the media have long felt pressure to appear “perfect” and whilst this is one reason for people to undergo permanent hair removal, another is comfort.

If you’re constantly shaving or waxing certain areas then you will undoubtedly know the pain of ingrown hairs, sore skin and shaving rashes…certain areas such as the armpits are certainly easier to keep fresh when there is a lack of hair there…so it makes sense to look at permanent removal in these spots.

Facial Hair Is A Thing Of The Past!

Equally distressing is the appearance of hair on the upper lip…women with moustaches aren’t universally admired and those who suffer from too much hair in this area will probably have tried all kinds of solutions including depilatory cream.

Whether the Kardashians have undergone this treatment is unknown but one thing’s for sure and that’s that none of the fashionable sisters ever appear with a trace of facial hair.

Celebrity influence

Celebrities often lead the way in terms of fashion and beauty treatments. Universally admired for their style and looks, celebs like the Kardashian sisters influence the masses with their decisions regarding their bodies and what treatments they choose.

With laser hair removal being such an obvious success for them, many people are choosing to follow in their footsteps and seek out laser hair removal.

Men’s Laser Hair Removal and the Rise Male Grooming!

The Rise Of Male Grooming

Once upon a time it wasn’t considered “manly” for the males of our species to indulge in anything so self conscious as male hair removal…apart from beard maintenance of course!

Just a few years ago advertising for men’s hair removal products consisted solely of the most rugged of chaps engaged in some jaw jutting, razor-sharp shaving shenanigans.

Growth in male laser hair removal

Men have finally discovered the secret about laser hair removal that women have known for years.

Laser works!

A well groomed man also has the freedom to indulge in facials and to get in touch with his feminine side has to be a good thing.

Why shouldn’t men have the pleasure of great products and great treatments when at the end of the day they not only ensure better skin health but more comfortable hair removal and a longer-lasting smoothness?

Male grooming in our London clinics

Men’s laser hair removal is just one of the areas which have seen an increase in not only sales but also interest and acceptance with more and more men daily making enquiries about laser hair removal and other treatments listed below.

At Premier Laser we offer a range of treatments to get you looking your best. They include:

Popular areas for laser grooming

So where exactly are men having their hair lasered…and I don’t mean geographically! The answer to that is just about anywhere there’s hair!

Men’s facial laser hair removal is growing in popularity…especially amongst men who suffer from pseudo folliculitis aka razor bumps! This painful condition is common among men who have curly hair and it’s basically multiple ingrown hairs which can become inflamed and painful and the condition is exacerbated by shaving.

As many professional men already know, a clean shave on a daily basis is a given…no turning up to the office with a day’s growth!

Chest, backs and necks have always been popular areas for men along with smaller areas like hands, nose and ears.

Laser hair removal for chest hair and  back hair leaves the area smooth and will end DIY shaving jobs that can be tricky in hard to reach areas like the back. This look is a particular favourite among the younger generation and it’s not as difficult to achieve baby-soft skin as you might think!

Mens laser hair removal has now headed south and more men are having their pubic area pruned and sculpted. The rise in brazilian or manzillian and bikni has also become more popular recently along with the perianal area.

No More Shaving…

This is one of the main reasons why many men seek laser hair removal and it’s an extremely popular solution too. The hair is permanently inhibited by the destruction of the hair follicles beneath the skin so men can enjoy the sensation of soft, smooth skin!

Repeated procedures are usually needed as the treatment is done in sections and the hairs must be “caught” at their growing stage but once it’s gone it’s gone and many men report feeling cleaner, more attractive and happier after their hair removal.

So if you’re bored of your beard or feeling churlish about your chest hair or perturbed by your pubic hair!,  then it might be time to look into the permanent removal of the offending pelt once and for all!

Women’s Laser Hair Removal…Getting Ready for Summer!

Women’s laser hair removal is one beauty treatment which shows no sign of abating in popularity. The convenience of complete and permanent hair removal in those problem areas is such a freeing experience that many women regret only one thing…not having it done sooner!. and with laser hair removal prices lower then ever and lasers now giving excellent results on all skin tones from dark skin to light there really is no excuse anymore!

Hair growth in places where no hair should be is a problem for many women today and the most popular areas for treatment are the upper lip, the chin and cheeks and the bikini line. When you’re used to shaving, plucking, waxing or using depilatory creams the revelation which women’s laser hair removal can bring about is truly freeing…especially when your long awaited summer holiday is looming!

Evolve From The Razor To The Laser

Moving from the discomfort of sore, over-shaved skin to the smooth comfort of a hair-free zone is a great thing and if the only thing holding you back is fear of the unknown then it’s time to get with the picture and get lasered!

We all know the pain of preparing to bare all…or nearly all on our summer hols’ and ensuring that you’re bikini-ready is an important part of the preparation for your summer plans! It’s also half of the fun…after all why limit your preparations to swimsuit shopping when you need to know that you’ll be able to wear it with confidence!

As women make more and more effort with their appearance, it has become the norm for many women to spend even more money getting ready for their summer break than they do on the actual holiday!

If you’re on a budget there’s one area where you shouldn’t skimp and that’s your skin…you need to feel comfortable in it after all! Spray tans, exfoliating treatments and facials are all very well but if there’s a suspicious looking shadow on your upper lip it might be time to consider laser hair removal.

Think Of The Convenience of laser hair removal !!

Women’s laser hair removal is becoming so widespread that a majority of women see it as an essential…rather than an optional treatment. Spending hours on the beach is a pleasure and more especially when you can pop on your bikini without a second thought as to the state of your armpits or bikini line!

Packing multiple hair removal essentials is just a bind at a time when you want to be free…and your holiday is a time when you should be free to indulge in the minimal of grooming after all!

What Are you Waiting For? Laser Away Your Unwanted Hair

If you are currently planning your summer break and looking at visiting hot countries then do take time out to explore the many options with regards to laser hair removal for women; you will find that many of your preconceptions regarding the process are misguided.

Some people avoid laser hair removal due to a fear of pain but the truth is that for many people the pain is only slight…likened to a snapping elastic band hitting the area of skin currently being treated. If that’s all there is to worry about then perhaps it’s time to join the band of happy hair-free holidaymakers currently packing their best swimwear!
